Marc Liebeman
Chief executive officer, Metlife
As CEO since April 2010, Liebeman is responsible for all aspects of MetLife’s Australian
business with a strong focus on driving profitable long-term growth in a customer service
and value-driven organisation.
With 25 years’ experience in financial services, Liebeman has extensive experience
in delivering high growth results. Prior to joining MetLife, Liebeman was president and
CEO of Hartford Life Limited and CEO of ING New Zealand, one of that country’s largest
non-bank financial service organisations. In both roles, Liebeman was accountable for
managing all operations within the region and country, respectively.
Liebeman holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies from Buffalo State College and
has held various directorships of industry affiliations including vice chair of the Investment
Savings and Insurance Association of New Zealand.
